What happens when I move home?

Your TV Licence doesn't automatically move with you, so you will have to update your details so we can ensure you are correctly licensed at your new address. You will need your last name, TV Licence number and postcode to do this. Once we have received your new address details, we will transfer your existing TV Licence. Your TV Licence number will stay the same.

If you do not know your TV Licence number, please contact us, remembering to provide both your old and new address and date of move.

If you are paying for somebody else's TV Licence by Direct Debit and you move, you can change your address, email address or telephone number online using our update your details section, you will need to have the TV Licence holder's last name and postcode and the TV Licence number. We can then ensure that we send any future Direct Debit payment information to your correct address.
